Summit resident Leslie Gordon is selling handmade Christmas ornaments to help her friends with the adoption expenses they will incur when they bring home a child from the Ukraine in January.

She created an ornament inspired by the architecture of Ukrainian churches that features the blue and gold colors of the country’s flag. It’s being sold for $20 in some Mississippi stores like Zsa’s Zsa’s at 2222 S. Frontage Road in Vicksburg.

Each year, the organization features a specific ornament. This year, it’s a mitten. Others sold include angels, stockings and gingerbread men. Almost all are $10, and all proceeds benefit The Mustard Seed. To order or learn more, visit the website at mustardseedinc.org.
